CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the use of Information technology (IT) throughout the company. He/she devises the company’s IT strategy and ensures that all systems necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place.
Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:
- Negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers for installing new technology and training employees on its use
- Approving purchases of technological equipment and software and establishes partnerships with IT providers
Leads the development of the department’s budget and strategic plan, including corporate technology plans
- Selecting and implements suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize strategic benefits
- Designing and customizes technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
- Overseeing technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
- Directing and organising IT-related projects
Designing a wide area connectivity network infrastructure with an emphasis on filling remote access needs
Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related field required
- Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
- Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in information technology and resource management
- Three (3) years’ executive-level experience
- Solid understanding of data analysis, controls, budgeting and business operations
