Responsible for customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management, as this role will garner and meet with potential clients, pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in development of coordinated sales strategy across the various client segments
Execute new business acquisition and customer retention strategies to identify opportunities and close sales
Provide input and assistance on sales goals, planning and forecasting.
Build strong relationships across internal and external customers to drive sales.
Actively engage all potential and existing customers to drive company brand awareness and brand recall.
To achieve specified sales targets.
Maintain agreed upon sales contacts inclusive of meetings, phone calls, emails, social media and networking activities; roadshows and sales events.
Track all sales contacts using company CRM.
Update and track sales pipeline.
Complete and submit monthly reports to senior management on sales activities inclusive of agreed KPIs
Work closely with the Originations team to ensure opportunities convert into booked sales within company service level standards.
Create presentations on company products and services and deliver same to potential and existing clients across various forums.
Assist Collections department, when required, to ensure clients remain in good standing.
KEY TECHNICAL COMPENTENCIES:
Basic knowledge and understanding of the core principles of insurance and how this is applied on a day-to-day basis.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and how to meet these on a day-to-day basis.
Advanced knowledge of North West and the wider commercial leasing/rentals services market place.
Considerable knowledge of how claims should be handled and managed.
Basic knowledge of the underwriting process.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of the range of financial products and basic insurance products and services available in the market.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in businss development activities.
Must have strong network of relationships across the local and/or heavy equipment industry.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interests, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra ad geometry.
