Biomedical Technician

Job Objective

Responsible for maintaining and repairing biomedical equipment while supporting the sourcing, costing, and preparation of compliant biomedical tender proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and test biomedical equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service records.
• Diagnose faults and liaise with vendors for technical support and parts.
• Train staff on proper equipment use and safety standards.
• Source and evaluate suppliers and ensure equipment meets regulatory requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates including landed and lifecycle costs.
• Develop technical tender proposals, including BoQs, maintenance plans, and documentation.
• Ensure all submissions meet compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and/or biomedical tender preparation.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, costing, and technical documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and interpreting technical manuals.
