The Beverage & Beach Excursion Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all beverage operations and beach- related guest experiences at Spice Mill Restaurant.

Department: Food & Beverage – Beach Bar

Reports To: General & Human Resource Manager
Key Responsibilities:

1. Beverage Program Management:

 Operations & Oversight: Manage all aspects of the beach bar and restaurant beverage service, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.

 Menu & Inventory: Develop and update the beverage menu to align with trends and local flavors. Conduct regular inventory counts, place orders, and manage
stock to minimize waste and ensure product availability.

 Quality Control: Uphold the highest standards of beverage quality, presentation, and service. Train staff on proper pouring techniques, drink recipes, and
upselling strategies.

 Sales & Revenue: Drive beverage sales and profitability through creative promotions, effective staff training, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

2. Beach Excursion & Guest Experience Management:
 Excursion Coordination: Oversee the logistics of all beach-related excursions and activities, including day passes, beach chair/cabana rentals, and water
sports offerings (in coordination with vendors).

 Cruise Ship Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for cruise ship tour operators and guests. Ensure a smooth and efficient process for guest arrivals
and departures, including ticket management and welcome drink service.

 Guest Services: Actively engage with guests on the beach, anticipate their needs, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.

 Ambiance & Maintenance: Ensure the beach and bar areas are consistently clean, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing. Coordinate with the
maintenance team for regular upkeep of equipment and facilities.

3. Staff Leadership & Development:
 Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of bartenders, servers, and beach attendants.

 Training & Mentorship: Provide ongoing training and coaching to the team on customer service, sales techniques, product knowledge, and safety protocols.

 Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and motivate the team to achieve and exceed service
goals.
 Safety & Compliance: Enforce all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, responsible alcohol service (e.g., legal drinking
age), and emergency procedures.

4. Administrative & Financial Duties:

 Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on beverage sales, inventory, and excursion revenue.
 Budgeting: Assist in developing and managing the budget for the beverage and beach operations, controlling costs while maintaining high standards.

 Cash Handling: Oversee cash management, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and accurate guest billing.

Qualifications & Requirements:

 Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in a beach club, resort, or cruise ship environment. Experience in
both beverage management and excursion/activities coordination is highly desirable.

 Knowledge: Strong knowledge of mixology, wines, and other beverages. Familiarity with tourism operations, especially those related to cruise ships and
shore excursions.

 Skills:
o Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.

o Proven ability to drive sales and manage a budget.
o Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
o Proficiency with POS systems and basic office software.

o Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak tourist season.

 Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a beach environment, which may include lifting up to 25
lbs.
