Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Cards & Payments team in the capacity of:
Acquirer Technical Associate
Provide technical support and general maintenance for point-of-sale hardware and software.
Provide customer service support to merchants and work along with our other customer service channels to provide issue resolution.
Location: Kingston
As an Acquirer Technical Associate, you will:
- Ensure that customer complaints relating to hardware/software issues are resolved.
- Liaise with internal and external partners regarding technical issues related to acquiring products.
- Liaise with clients and team members to ensure that issues are routed to the appropriate department.
- Install software, assess and prepare point of sale hardware/devices for dispatch to merchant locations.
- Train merchants in the use of point-of-sale equipment.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration, Computer Science or any equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- At least one (1) year of experience in electronic payment systems and networks
- At least one (1) year of experience in working with Information Technology.
- Demonstrated experience in customer relationship management managing and/or customer service.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale hardware and software is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of electronic delivery channels i.e. ABMs, IVR, POS, Call Centre and Internet Banking to support sales and customer service initiatives is an advantage.
- Proven ability to operate within a multi-project environment and perform under tight deadlines, with a high level of initiative and enthusiasm.
- Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal and external partners throughout all management levels
- Excellent communication skills (listening, understanding and responding).
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative, independently and in a team environment.
