The Accounting Officer will provide and perform duties to support shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining inventory and stock records and performs related work as required.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Officer will provide and perform duties to support shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining inventory and stock records and performs related work as required. The Accounting Officer will also provide support for ANSA Packaging’s Accounts Payable.  The goal is to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the inventory function in compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures to deliver maximum value to the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare landed costings for all imported items for ANSA Packaging within 48 hours of D365 receipt of items, ensuring all costs are accurately captured and accounted for and passed to Chief Accountant 
  • >99% accuracy in all landed costings working, ensuring ALL costs are captured under accurate headings and all documentation to support charges are attached to lead landed costing template for review.
  • Ensure that all landed costings, once reviewed and approved are passed to finance personnel in charge of AMUS reconciliations within 24 hours of review.
  • Ensure that all documentation relating to the imported items and costing, are copied and attached to all costings, and represented accurately on import clearing worksheet within 24 hours of items being reviewed and approved.
  • Ensure all approved landed costings with all supporting documentation are filed within 24 hours of review and approval in monthly files for easy access and kept in vault.
  • Develop, maintain and report on accurate tracking of landed costs by month vs prior year with explanations for variations
  • Enter and update D365 Accounts Payable Module in the subledger with invoices with correct GL accounts being used with 99% accuracy within 24 hours of receipt of product receipts to ensure accuracy and management of liabilities and payments to suppliers.
  •  Ensure supplier reconciliations are completed at mid-month and end of month with a completion rate above 90% and resolve all reconciling items within one month, maintaining zero rolling issues.                                                                             
  • Provide support for AMUS accounts payable management.
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and presentation reporting with FTQ and OTIF scores consistently above 90%.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with company procedures, internal controls, and Blue Book policies.
  • Participate fully in stock counts, audits, and CFO division activities as required.
  • Perform any other related job duties as required by the job function that may be assigned by the CFO.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:

  • ACCA Level II
  • A professional accounting qualification from a recognized institution.
  • At least four (4) years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working experience with Microsoft D365FO would be an asset.
  • And / Or two (2) years working experience in the same or similar position.
