Position Summary
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for performing routine and repetitive clerical accounting and bookkeeping duties, following established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
Key Accountabilities
• Provide prompt and professional customer service, demonstrating courtesy and initiative in line with company policies
• Serve internal and external customers effectively and efficiently
• Conduct various reconciliations
• Prepare payments
• Print, batch, sort cheques, and obtain signatories
• Sort, stamp, and distribute departmental mail
• File cash summaries, cheque copies, and deposit slips
• Maintain filing of journals and vouchers

Education & Training Requirements
Education & Qualifications
• 5 O’ Levels including Mathematics, English & Accounts
• 3 A’ Levels
• CAT or ACCA Level 1
Training
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or qualifications
