We are looking for a hands-on Accountant to take full ownership of day-to-day Accounting across the group and grow with the business over time.
This is an operating, individual-contributor role. You will be close to the numbers, close to the business, and expected to think commercially, not just compliantly.
Key responsibilities
• Full ownership of accounting for brewery and restaurant operations
• Maintain and improve accounting systems, controls, and reporting structures
• Manage QuickBooks and related systems, including locations, classes, and mappings
• Ensure accurate integration and reporting from operational systems
• Review pricing, margins, costs, and variances and flag issues early
• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all statutory tax requirements
• Manage inventory control and accounting in line with internal and financial controls
• Work closely with operations and leadership to improve financial discipline and decision-making
Requirements
• Qualified or highly experienced accountant with strong hands-on experience
• Background in audit, FMCG, hospitality, manufacturing, or another fast-moving environment
• Strong ERP or accounting system experience (QuickBooks experience is an asset, not a requirement)
• Commercially minded, not purely compliance-driven
• Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking hard questions
• Highly organized and able to operate across multiple locations
• Willing to be present in the business and engage with operations
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle to travel between location
