Seeking a driven Wealth & Investment Executive to originate and grow a client base from scratch. This is a pure business development role — no inherited book, no warm leads. If you have the network, the hunger and the track record, the earning potential is uncapped.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Wealth & Investment Executive
Reports to: Head, Wealth Management
This role is for a self-driven rainmaker — someone who generates their own opportunities, builds their own pipeline and earns in direct proportion to what they produce.
It suits someone who is entrepreneurial by nature, financially motivated, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy. The right candidate may come from financial services, insurance, real estate or any field where they have demonstrated an ability to originate and close revenue-generating relationships.
The Wealth & Investment Executive is responsible for growing the Company’s client base and revenue by originating, converting and managing relationships with individual and institutional investors. The role spans the full sales lifecycle — from prospecting and pitching through to onboarding, account management and ongoing client development.
Products sold include the Company’s proprietary investment instruments, repo facilities, bonds, equities, mutual funds, wealth management mandates and structured finance opportunities. The role also carries a deal-spotting function, earning additional commission for identifying corporate finance mandates.
Origination & Pipeline Development
- Prospect actively and continuously for new individual and institutional clients from your personal network, referral relationships and market activity.
- Develop and maintain a disciplined sales pipeline with clear conversion targets and timelines.
- Convert prospects into onboarded clients through tailored proposals and consistent follow-through.
- Generate repeat business and referrals from your existing client base.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for clients you originate, maintaining regular contact and active account development.
- Assess client financial needs and match them to appropriate Company products and third-party solutions.
- Attend client meetings, trade events, seminars and product presentations as a Company representative.
- Ensure clients receive accurate, timely and compliant communications and documentation.
Sales Execution
- Market and sell the Company’s full product suite including in-house products, repos, securities, wealth management mandates and structured products.
- Prepare detailed proposals, term sheets and product documentation for prospective investors.
- Spot and refer corporate finance deal opportunities, earning deal-spotting commission on successful mandates.
- Host and participate in investor seminars, product launches and networking events.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor competing financial products, market conditions and relevant regulatory developments.
- Contribute to new product development and sales strategy discussions with management.
- Write market and product pieces for publication where relevant.
- Participate in community and visibility initiatives that support the Company’s brand and market presence.
Compliance & Administration
- Balance active prospecting with required compliance, documentation and administrative responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate client records and call reports in line with best practice.
- Ensure all client interactions and transactions meet regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Essential
- An extensive personal network from which potential clients can be actively drawn.
- A proven and demonstrable record of sales target attainment.
- The discipline and hunger to prospect consistently, follow up relentlessly and close independently.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Management, Law, Accounting or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of investment products and financial markets, whether through academic study, prior career experience or self-directed learning.
- A personal vehicle for frequent road-based client meetings.
- Maturity, integrity and sound judgement — you will be trusted with client relationships and sensitive financial information.
Preferred
- Prior experience in financial services, wealth management, insurance or a relationship-driven sales environment.
- Existing relationships with high-net-worth individuals or institutional investors.
- Familiarity with securities, fixed income products or investment fund structures.
- Experience preparing client proposals or investment documentation.
- Relentless, passionate and driven — you set your own pace and hold yourself accountable.
- Confident and persuasive communicator in both one-on-one and public settings.
- Strong networker with a genuine service orientation.
- Strategically minded — able to gather and analyse information to identify opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial work ethic that is independently proactive and team-compatible.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Organised, deadline-driven and able to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
The Company offers two engagement structures depending on the candidate’s profile and preference. In both cases, earning potential is directly tied to performance — the more revenue you generate, the more you earn.
Option A — Permanent Employment (Salary + Commission)
A competitive monthly base salary is offered, set at a level commensurate with experience. Commission is performance-driven and structured as follows:
- Trigger: Commission becomes payable once your monthly output generates a meaningful revenue threshold above your base cost to the business in fees and profits. This threshold ensures the commission structure rewards genuine revenue generation above and beyond your base cost to the business.
- Monthly Bonus: Once triggered, you are eligible to earn up to one times your monthly base salary as a bonus, calculated as a percentage of the revenue generated in excess of your target.
- Annual Bonus: A further annual bonus of up to one times your annual base salary is available, triggered when your cumulative annual output exceeds the annualised target, net of monthly bonuses already paid.
Commission is calculated based on a defined contribution table applied to each product type, including fees on fund sales, repo sales, securities transactions, wealth management mandates and deal originations.
Option B — Independent Contractor (Retainer + Commission)
A monthly retainer is paid to provide a base income floor. Commission is earned on all revenue generated and is paid net of the retainer received. Commission rates vary by product type and transaction structure, with one-time upfront payments applicable to new investments and reduced rates applied to rolled or renewed positions.
The contractor structure offers greater flexibility and is suited to candidates who prefer to manage their own time and client base with maximum autonomy.
Full details of applicable commission rates, calculation methodology and performance targets will be discussed and agreed with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.
- Revenue generated for the Company against agreed monthly and annual targets.
- Number of new clients originated and onboarded.
- Volume and value of assets under management or investment brought in.
- Client retention and repeat investment activity.
- Pipeline size and conversion rate.
- Legal, regulatory and ethical compliance.
The responsibilities described above represent the general nature and scope of this role. Additional duties may be assigned by management from time to time.
