Job Title: Water Treatment Sales Development Specialist (“Inside Sales”, Caribbean Region)
Job Summary
We are seeking a driven Water Treatment Sales Development Specialist to grow our Caribbean business across reverse osmosis, UF, desalination, ion exchange resins, cooling tower, boiler, potable, process, and wastewater solutions. This role focuses on prospecting, cold calling, pipeline development, closing new business, and retaining existing accounts. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales hunter who excels at outbound outreach, follows up consistently, and converts opportunities into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through high-volume cold calling, email outreach, and lead generation campaigns
- Quickly qualify prospects, identify needs, and recommend technical solutions
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and system recommendations
- Retain existing clients by managing accounts and reducing attrition
- Maintain disciplined CRM activity, including call logs, pipeline tracking, forecasting, and follow-ups
- Partner with the regional Application Engineer and customer service teams to support current and prospective customers
- Understand the Water Tech product line and how each product is selected and applied
- Increase sales through professional communication with new and existing clients by understanding, anticipating, and meeting their needs
- Build industry relationships, especially with contacts who can generate sales leads
- Stay informed on client plans and payment performance, and communicate decisions that may affect sales strategy
- Track competitor products and report intelligence on pricing and marketing strategies
- Build and manage a strong pipeline across Caribbean markets
- Follow up relentlessly on leads, quotes, and proposals to close deals
- Identify and target key decision-makers in industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors
- Promote and sell:
- Reverse osmosis (RO) / Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes, chemicals, and systems
- Ion Exchange Resins
- Cooling tower and boiler water treatment programs
- Potable water treatment solutions
- Process water chemicals and systems
- Wastewater treatment and reuse solutions
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of inside sales or business development experience
- 3–5+ years of water treatment industry experience
- Proven track record of cold calling, prospecting, and closing new business
- Strong persistence and follow-up discipline
- Working knowledge of water treatment systems (RO/UF/Desal, ion exchange, cooling towers, boilers, potable, process, wastewater)
- Excellent communication and objection-handling skills
- English required; Spanish strongly preferred for Caribbean markets
- Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and sales activity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling water treatment chemicals, equipment, or services
- Familiarity with Caribbean markets or remote territory sales
- Technical background in chemistry, engineering, or environmental systems
- Experience with RO, desalination, ion exchange, potable water, wastewater, and island water challenges
