To support the review of water sector policies and legislation, recommend new or revised policies and initiatives, and provide research and analysis on relevant issues.
The Ministry of Water, Environment and Climate Change is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the vacant post of Water Policy Officer (GMG/SEG 1) salary range $3,501,526.00 to $4,709,163.00 per annum.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Collaborate in drafting Cabinet Submissions and Cabinet Notes related to the water sector
- Conduct research and analysis of relevant documentation on issues affecting the water sector
- Prepare briefs, reports, and research papers for review by the Director, Water Policy
- Provide administrative and technical input to policy development and legislative processes
- Participate in developing and reviewing legislation
- Contribute to proposals for amending existing policies and introducing new programs • Assist in monitoring the implementation of water sector policies
- Support the preparation of the Unit’s Corporate and Operational Plans and Budget
- Perform other related duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Sector Management, Public Administration, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
- Training in policy formulation and management would be an advantage.
- A minimum of four (4) years’ professional experience in a related policy or analytical role.
