Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and dependable Warehouse & Inventory Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of a chemical warehouse. This role requires a high level of accuracy, as products with similar names and appearances must be handled without error.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe storage, accurate handling, and dispatch of chemical raw materials used in the food processing, cleaning, sanitation, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
You will take full ownership and accountability for inventory accuracy and daily warehouse operations, while supervising a small team (2–3 persons) and ensuring adherence to company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of all goods
- Ensure all materials are correctly identified, labelled, and stored
- Verify product identity and documentation before dispatch to prevent errors or mix-ups
- Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records at all times
- Conduct bi-monthly stock counts and investigate variances
- Ensure strict controls to prevent loss, damage, or unauthorized removal
Team Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse staff
- Assign tasks and ensure adherence to procedures
- Address performance issues and maintain discipline where required
Customer & Administrative Duties
- Facilitate customer pickups and coordinate with Customer Service
- Handle cash collections and lodgements in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping
Compliance & Safety
- Enforce all safety, warehouse, and operational procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment
- Support quality checks and investigations where required

Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory-related role
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is an asset.
- Experience with stock counts and inventory tracking
- Training or exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or similar operational standards is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment is an asset
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, data entry, etc.)
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment (heat, dust, and chemical exposure)
- Standing for extended periods
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Required use of safety gear
