Warehouse Supervisor (Guyana)

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and maintaining safety standards. The incumbent will report to the Warehouse Manager who will lead the warehousing function.

JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and maintaining safety standards.  The incumbent will report to the Warehouse Manager who will lead the warehousing function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide supervision for warehouse and distribution operations coordinating with logistics, procurement and management as required.  
• Ensure accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of inventory.
• Oversee inventory control, stock accuracy and operational reporting.
• Ensure the safeguarding of all company assets including but not limited to beverage coolers, trucks and hand-helds.
• Ensure the maintenance of housekeeping standards to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
• Monitor usage of warehouse equipment ensuring adherence to maintenance guidelines.
• Prepare reports on productivity, inventory, and staffing as required.
• Resolve operational issues and improve workflow efficiency.
• Supervise, manage performance and coach staff as required.
• Perform daily inspections of the warehouse grounds to ensure compliance with OSH guidelines, Company safety regulations and security standards. 

Education and Qualification Requirements: 

• A minimum of five (5) CXC subjects including Mathematics and English.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ similar experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
• Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Supervisory Management would be an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems or operations software is an advantage. 
• Excellent analytical problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
