Overview: Our client is one of the leading distribution organizations in Antigua who have been established for many years and have a solid customer base across multiple market sectors. Due to growth, they are seeking to recruit a candidate with proven experience to join the management team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervising and mentoring warehouse staff, providing guidance and direction. 
• Ensuring staff are properly trained on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and inventory management systems.
• Monitoring staff performance, providing feedback, and addressing any performance issues. 
• Ensuring the right amount of stock is available to meet customer demand at all times while minimizing overstock or shortages. 
• Implementing and maintaining inventory management systems, including cycle counts on a weekly basis and stock taking on a monthly basis
• Generating reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant data. 
• Review stock and sales report on a weekly basis and determine action plans. 
• Overseeing the receipt of goods, ensuring proper storage and organization within the warehouse and ensuring that they are entered in the system in a timely manner and are available for sale
• Managing the process of picking, packing, and shipping orders accurately and efficiently and liaising with the cashier and sales team as required to ensure 98% accuracy.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
• Ensuring proper maintenance and use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other machinery. 
• Conducts weekly vehicle inspections.
• Maintains vehicle maintenance log/schedule and makes the necessary arrangements to have all company vehicles serviced, cleaned and repaired.
• Ensures the compound is kept tidy at all times.
• General coordination, maintenance & servicing of the plant and compound, including but not limited to: generator, fire extinguishers, A/C units.
• Determines and implements health and safety protocols.
• Ensures staff are following health and safety procedures.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with other departments, such as sales, purchasing, and logistics, to optimize inventory management and warehouse operations. 
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. 

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Five years’ management experience, preferably in a warehousing environment.
• Strong reporting skills.
• Competent with Warehousing/Logistics Software platforms.
• Proficient with MS-Office.
• Clean driving license.
