Warehouse Manager
Aventa Jamaica, a leading distribution company based in Kingston, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and coordinate its warehousing operations. This is a full-time role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and responsible for supervising a team of Warehouse Attendants, a Janitor, and a Warehouse Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Inventory Control
Oversee all incoming shipments, ensuring compliance with documentation and quality checks
Supervise receipt and storage of cold chain products, adhering to strict quality protocols
Maintain inventory accuracy, including stock adjustments and returns to suppliers
Enforce vendor compliance procedures and ensure timely return of shipping containers
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
Plan and process customer orders for timely, complete delivery
Manage order verification, invoice generation, and batch planning
Ensure efficient preloading and dispatch of goods
Picking & Dispatch Operations
Supervise safe and accurate picking and packing of goods
Oversee labelling, stock rotation, and proper storage location maintenance
Manage delivery vans, dispatch documentation, and coordinate with third-party van providers
General Warehouse Operations
Lead warehouse housekeeping, safety, and good distribution practices
Supervise, train, and evaluate staff performance
Administer warehouse incentive programmes and performance improvement actions
Maintain records for contractor activities and warehouse-related quality documentation
Administrative Duties
Monitor stock levels and assist with emergency order fulfilment
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and delivery-related issues
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including hospitals, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
Coordinate regular staff meetings and reports for Accounts and Management teams
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a warehouse or logistics setting
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Solid knowledge of warehouse technology and information systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, leadership, and planning capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory software
High level of professionalism, integrity, and business etiquette
