The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the overseeing and managing of the entire logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transportation Management:
    • Track and facilitate clearance of shipments (local and international)
    • Conduct cost analysis of goods, equipment and streamlining the logistics process
    • Plan and coordinate transportation routes, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
    • Manage relationships with transport providers to achieve cost savings.
    • Monitor transportation costs and recommend strategies to reduce expenses.
  2. Warehouse Management:
    • Assist with overseeing the daily operations of the storeroom, ensuring efficient, and organized storage of materials and products.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of stock levels.
    • Monitor and update the virtual warehouse with current inventory information to enhance efficiency.
    • Conduct regular audits of inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
  3. Inventory/Database Management:
    • Coordinate the transportation of goods and equipment by collaborating with the company driver, and truckers.
    • Collaborate with the Inventory Analyst to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Develop and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce stockouts.
    • Ensure that all inventory records are accurately maintained and updated.
  4. Supplier Coordination/Procurement:
    • Execute procurement procedures such as but not limited to contacting suppliers for the company
    • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
    • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery times or product quality.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  5. Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Supervise and manage the Inventory Analyst, providing training and support as needed.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to the Inventory Analyst.
  6. Any other assigned duty

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistics management, preferably in an engineering or contracting environment.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
    • Adaptability to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
    • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
    • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office hours with occasional overtime as required.
  • Office environment with regular use of computer and other office equipment.
  • Occasional visits to the Warehouse.
  • Exposure to dust, heat, noise, and other outdoor working conditions
