Warehouse Attendant (with Forklift License)

7am-4pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick goods according to assigned pick tickets ensuring goods are picked accurately and in saleable condition for dispatch when needed.
• Pack, store, arrange, organise and wrap materials and products.
• Maintain and manage warehouse inventory.
• Inspect and verify products, materials and equipment before storing in warehouse.
• Execute loading and unloading operations.
• Ensure 100% compliance of all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Pick products methodically ensuring that pallets are left level at the end of the day.
• Report all damages to Warehouse Manager daily.
• Pick goods in accordance with rotation system, that is, first in, first out basis or soonest expiry date first.
• Pack goods on pallet ensuring goods are properly secured.
• Assist in scheduled cycle counts as advised by Supervisor/Manager.
• Assist with the physical preparation of the warehouse for main stock count twice per year as instructed by Supervisor.
• Help with the cleaning of the facility including cutting of grass and power washing of compound.
• Assist in the completion of data for expiry reports.
• Assist with filing of all Warehouse transfer documents.
• Assist in other related areas of work based on the needs of the department and any other area as necessary in support of Company activities.

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:

• 5 CXC/O’Level passes.
• Minimum of one-year experience in the warehousing environment.
• An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL ENVIRONMENT:

• Physical Demands: High Physical activity - Standing, lifting, bending, stretching.
• Environment/Hazard Demands: Exposure to dust, heat and outdoor activity.
• Travel Demands: Requirement, ability to travel regularly for activities or training sessions.
