Join Our Team as a Warehouse Assistant.

Role Overview:

The warehouse assistant will fulfil the responsibilities of the warehouse for a well-maintained and uninterrupted flow of goods and services within the scope.

 

Role Description: 

  • Ensure proper scheduling, record keeping, and inventory control.
  • Receive all stock orders and ensure all orders are processed under established procedures and guidelines.
  • Check invoices against goods for errors before packing.
  • Inspect received goods for damages and any discrepancies.
  • Ensure goods are properly packed and labelled correctly for dispatch.
  • Deliver goods within the environs of Head Office.
  • Prepare delivery notes for sold items.
  • Be aware of all inventory items and be knowledgeable of chemicals frequently used.
  • Monitor the stock of the company’s goods and ready-to-sell items.
  • Perform physical inventory counts daily in warehouses.
  • Work with inventory management software to track stock levels
  • Determine safety stock levels to reduce the risk of stockouts during usual/unusual periods of supply and demand.
  • Coordinate with sales to provide the inventory count.
  • Work to reduce and address stock damages or losses.
  • Report any equipment breakdowns or malfunctions to the Warehouse Coordinator.
  • Performs housekeeping on an ongoing basis when working.
  • Performs any other duties as required by the Company

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehousing
  • Certificate in Warehousing Logistics, Business Management, or any similar discipline
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Valid Class 3 or 4 valid driver’s permits with no major offences will be an asset.

  • Excellence in warehouse maintenance and management skills.
  • Exceptional Reasoning – the ability to perform basic calculations without major tools.
  • Ability to work alone and in small groups.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional and consistent customer service
  • Must be able to pull, push and lift heavy items.
  • Ability to understand and abide by written and verbal instructions and uphold safety procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for procedural adherence for issuing and keeping records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint, in particular)

Mandatory Documents:

  • Valid Clean Certificate of Good Character from the TTPS
