Visual Merchandising Coordinator

To ensure visual merchandising standards and strategies are aligned to business standards and current trends to enable stores to improve sales and profitability.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Plans, coordinates and ensures execution of the visual merchandising strategies aligned to company’s visual merchandising standards.
• Creates and maintains compelling presentations of merchandise which will engage customers and stimulate sales activity.
• Monitors visual merchandising within stores for compliance with set standards.
• Conducts training with store teams in collaboration with Branch management.
• Ensures featured /advertised items are prominently displayed in “hot spots”, in collaboration with Branch Managers and in accordance with standards.
• Monitors stores for compliance with Range plans and ticketing.
• Assists with the planning of store events to drive foot traffic.
• Monitors the quality of showroom goods and agree arrangements for replacement in collaboration with Branch Management.
• Provides advice on space planning, layout, colour schemes and the utilization of home furnishings to customers in the showroom.
• Analyses seasonal trends and adjusts merchandise on showroom accordingly.
• Performs any other related duties which may be assigned to you.

JOB SPECIFICATON

 QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary level education, preferably a Diploma or Certificate in Merchandising or related discipline.
• Two (2) years’ experience in interior decorating or a visual merchandising role in a retail environment.
