The Utility Technician has responsibility to provide full support for all machines in the factory during the shift, in both the packaging and infrastructure areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor daily production outputs, raw material received and used, and finished products transferred
Ensure equipment and work environment are maintained in clean and safe condition
Ensure shift logs are filled out accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure adequate material is available to carry out production efficiently
Initiate work request for corrective maintenance action as required
Identify and communicate operational needs to support entities
Ensure optimum performance of all infrastructure equipment to minimize downtime
Monitor and record relevant data for the infrastructure area
Account for all waste generated on the shift including process and material waste
JOB SPECIFICATION/COMPETENCIES
Certification from NTEI or an equivalent technical institutionin Mechanical Maintenance or a similar capacity
At least two (2) years’ experience in manufacturing plant environment
Effective communication skills – written and verbal including the preparation of reports and the ability to communicate with varying levels of staff
Working knowledge of MS Office Productivity tools (Word, Excel) and other computer-related manufacturing systems
Possess extensive technical experience in Industrial Maintenance
