Position: UI/UX Design Officer
Location: Kingston, Jamaica
Department: Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)
Reports to: JESS Growth & Strategy Manager
Job Summary:
As a Proposals UI/UX Design Officer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the Clients’ Proposal Management team. This includes planning, strategizing, researching, writing, and editing proposals, while coordinating with resources from multiple business departments to achieve proposal production objectives within scheduled time frames.
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsite Design and Updates: Lead the design and development of microsites, ensuring they are user-friendly and visually engaging.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with onshore stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, including milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with clients' stakeholders and content owners to review and comprehend project scopes.
- Wireframes and Content Development: Develop wireframes and site content, exercising creative and innovative ways to complete work assignments.
Must-Have Skills and Competencies:
- UI/UX Design Expertise: Proven experience in designing user interfaces and user experiences for web applications.
- Project Management: Strong project planning and management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ demonstrable experience in UI/UX design and website development.
- Experience in front end visual design.
- Industry-Standard Software: Understanding of and familiarity with industry-standard software for web designing and wireframing.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Expected to work in a fast pace team environment
- Will be working primarily in a paperless environment and expected to be using information systems for the entire workday to access data or perform activities
- May be required to work extended hours periodically or on public holidays
