Overview: KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS) is seeking a talented and motivated yber Security Incident Response Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage a cyber security operations team, handling incident management, threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation. You will conduct vulnerability assessments, review security change requests, configure monitoring tools, and implement automation for enhanced security. Additionally, you will lead threat monitoring, stay updated on security practices, mentor your team, build relationships with internal tech groups, and ensure strategic alignment. You will oversee work products, manage projects, handle deadlines, contribute to staffing decisions, and supervise junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee a shift of 24x7 cyber security operations and incident responders
• Document processes and procedures comprehensively in the form of playbooks and reference guides
• Handle and coordinate tasks such as incident management, threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation efforts to mitigate threats
• Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and insecure configurations, and review security change requests to ensure robust protective measures
• Configure and monitor security tools, including alerts, correlation rules, and reporting mechanisms, and implement automation and orchestration to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security monitoring and response processes, aiming for a unified and centralized solution
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant work experience in Cyber security operations, with strong security knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and relevant certifications such as CISSP and Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CCSP, CCSK, GSEC, GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, SC-200, CEH, and AZ-900
• Minimum of 5 years people management experience
• Experience in security monitoring, security operations, and incident response activities, along with implementing processes and developing playbooks
