Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Centralized Business Support team in the capacity of:
Transact Associate (Grade 2)
Accept transaction requests received via email from clients.
Verify the authenticity of the transactions before disseminating them to the relevant business units for processing in accordance with service level agreements.
Location: Kingston
As a Transact Associate, you will:
- Respond to clients’ queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Deliver quality client service by greeting and responding to internal and external clients promptly and courteously in accordance with Sagicor’s client service standards.
- Maintain adequate knowledge of all Sagicor Bank and Sagicor Investments products.
- Seek opportunities to educate clients about appropriate products and services as the opportunity arises.
- Accept transaction requests received via email from the relevant platforms.
- Use the Bank’s operating system to access clients’ accounts to ascertain available balance/ cleared funds, signing authority for corporate clients, contact numbers and email addresses.
- Call or email clients to request confirmation of their transactions.
- Record confirmation details and name of Transact Associate on transaction emails and forward emails to the relevant units for processing.
- Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.
What do you need?
- Associate’s Degree in Business Management or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in a client service, telemarketing or call centre environment.
- Prior experience working with a financial institution would be an asset.
- Knowledge of the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Money Laundering and the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
- Sound understanding of financial sector instruments and the products and services of the organization and the financial industry in general.
- Effective communication skills inclusive of telephone etiquette and ability to interact with people at varying levels.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written including grammar and voice quality.
- Strong client service skills which foster an ability to deal with difficult clients.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- High degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Dedicated to achieving targets and being creative with problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of T24, Prime and Outlook applications.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
