Job Title: Trade Marketing Executive

 

 

Primary objective of the job: 

 

The Trade Marketing Executive is a strategic role responsible for executing, aligning, and deploying trade marketing strategies and tactics across Digicel’s Trinidad and Tobago commercial channels. The incumbent will drive visibility, engagement, and execution excellence at the point of sale, contributing to increased brand equity and market share. The position requires strong cross-functional coordination with local teams and stakeholders, as well as proactive oversight of campaign impact, merchandising standards, and loyalty initiatives across diverse geographies.

 

           

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  

1. Trade Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Implement and continuously evolve the trade marketing strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Assist and give continuous feedback to the Head of Sales and Commercial Operations with the design of the Trade marketing strategy.
  • Establish and deploy standard operating procedures and campaign toolkits to ensure consistency of execution across all markets.
  • Collaborate with product, CVM, and sales teams to implement 360° campaigns integrating POS visibility, ATL/BTL activation, and channel readiness.
  • Lead innovation in developing new trade programs, promotional mechanics, and customer-facing experiences at retail.

 2. Cross-Market Coordinator and Market Support

  • Act as the primary liaison between the group office and local market trade teams, ensuring market needs are addressed.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across commercial channels by creating playbooks and best practice repositories.
  • Support implementation through regular check-ins, workshops, and customized asset deployment.
  • Coordinate with sales leadership to ensure alignment between trade marketing activities and channel performance KPIs.

3. Brand Activatio, Loyalty and Engagement

  • Design and supervise the execution of high-impact brand activations that enhance customer experience and reinforce brand positioning.
  • Lead development and rollout of customer and reseller loyalty programs to build retention and long-term channel engagement.
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, adapting activation tactics based on channel’s feedback and sales outcomes.

4. Performance Monitoring and Business Reporting

  • Track and analyze trade marketing performance using key metrics: ROI, campaign effectiveness, traffic uplift, compliance, and sell-through.
  • Deliver quarterly performance dashboards and strategic insights to leadership.
  • Leverage competitive intelligence and field data to refine in-market initiatives and improve trade channel ROI.

5. Process Improvement & Trend Monitoring

  • Identify execution gaps and develop scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency across markets.
  • Lead innovation pilots in merchandising, digital trade tools, or experiential marketing.
  • Stay current on global industry best practices, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies in trade marketing.

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in Trade Marketing, Consumer Marketing, or Sales Development within the telecom, FMCG, or retail sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-channel initiatives and working within matrix organizations.
  • Proven record of enhancing brand visibility and executing at scale.

  • Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
  • Project management and multitasking in high-paced environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with multicultural team collaboration experience.
  • Fluent communication skills; capable of presenting to senior leadership and engaging field teams.
  • Analytical capabilities to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools, CRM, and Excel-based reporting dashboards.
