To work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Promotions and Merchandising teams to ensure optimum Sales, Visibility and Promotion of the assigned brands within existing and new trade channels, and to enhance the Company’s image as a preferred supplier in the Industry.

 

We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Premium Beverages Division:

 

TRADE MARKETING COORDINATOR

Job Purpose

To work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Promotions and Merchandising teams to ensure optimum Sales, Visibility and Promotion of the assigned brands within existing and new trade channels, and to enhance the Company’s image as a preferred supplier in the Industry.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develops and implements annual Operational Trade Marketing  plan for assigned brands
  • Works closely with Brand & Sales teams in the development, procurement of point of sale materials for assigned brands & ensure stock of same is adequately managed and controlled.
  • Manages relationship with 3rd party suppliers & develops preferred supplier list for point of purchase materials
  • Manages the allocated trade budgets in collaboration with Brand Managers, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and tracked
  • Works closely with Sales, Merchandising & Promo teams to ensure that all in-store promotional activities are executed according to plan
  • Maintains records & audits the trade regularly ensuring assigned brands have optimum visibility, display & cold presence
  • Negotiates & Manages the schedule of gondola end rentals / floor display bookings & respective trade agreements (where relevant) for key/strategic accounts
  • In collaboration with Sales & Merchandising, negotiates placement of permanent & semi-permanent point of sale materials
  • Monitors and report all competitive activity in the trade for assigned brands
  • Coordinates, manages & executes all required Trade Marketing activations for the brands assigned

Knowledge and Experience:

  • An Associate’s Degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of progressive FMCG experience;
  • A proven track record of strong commercial success.
  • Experience, understanding and appreciation of brand marketing and social influencing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
