Ensure accurate, timely, and traceable survey data throughout the full construction cycle by coordinating survey crews and technologies.
You will be working with a special international group specializing in architectual design and construction management- URCOISA.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Job title
Survey Supervisor
2. Role purpose
Ensure accurate, timely, and traceable survey data throughout the full construction cycle by coordinating survey crews and technologies (GNSS, total station, leveling, UAS/Drone, and LiDAR) to support design, staking, construction control, volumetrics, as-built documentation, monitoring, and related activities.
· Translate engineering and construction requirements into survey and geometric control plans (methods, density, tolerances, QA/QC).
· Deliver models, surfaces, point clouds, orthomosaics, and reports with verified accuracies and complete metadata according to ASPRS standards and, when applicable for LiDAR, the USGS Lidar Base Specification (LBS).

· Deliver models, surfaces, point clouds, orthomosaics, and reports with verified accuracies and complete metadata according to ASPRS standards and, when applicable for LiDAR, the USGS Lidar Base Specification (LBS).
3. Scope Across the Full Construction Phases
· Design / Engineering: Base surveying (planimetry–altimetry), densification of geodetic control, network adjustments, and initial terrain models. (Civil 3D supports survey workflows, adjustments, and data outputs).
· Detailed Design / IFC: Surface refinement, profiles/sections, definition of GCPs for photogrammetry/UAS, and project tolerances. (GCP/Checkpoint best practices).
· Procurement / Construction: Stakeout, dimensional control, cut/fill and stockpile volumetrics, continuous as-built documentation. (Types of engineering/construction surveys).
· Commissioning / Closeout: Final as-built (plans, point clouds, orthomosaics), data delivery with accuracy statistics according to ASPRS/LBS standards.
·
4. Main Responsibilities
4.1 Master Survey Plan
Define the topographic WBS, methods (conventional surveying, GNSS RTK/PPK, photogrammetric UAS, terrestrial/mobile/aerial LiDAR, shallow hydrographic), densities, GSD/overlaps, and QA/QC in accordance with ASPRS standards.
· Geodetic Network Control)
Establish/adjust horizontal and vertical control networks, redundancies, and tolerances; document transformations and CRS (EPSG) in metadata. (Control and reporting best practices according to standards).
· Design survey missions, select altitudes/overlaps and GCPs/Checkpoints; use RTK/PPK when appropriate; justify expected accuracy with RMSEH/RMSEV.
4.2 Data Production and Modeling
· Process data using Global Mapper Pro (point clouds/orthomosaics/mesh, classification/extraction), CivilCAD (contours, profiles, volumetrics), and Civil 3D (surfaces, SDB, linework)
4.3 Site/Construction Monitoring and Control)
· Stakeout of axes, foundations, structures, and networks; as-built documentation and deviation reports. (Types of construction surveys).
4.4 Precision and Metadata Management
· Design survey campaigns with the required minimum checkpoints, report RMSEH/RMSEV and accuracy classes (ASPRS Ed.2). For LiDAR: comply with LBS standards (metadata, LAZ format, swath separation).
Skills (soft & hard)
· Team leadership and multi-project coordination.
· Rigorous QA/QC (independent checks, redundancies, tolerances).
· 360° communication (engineering, construction, client, UAS/LiDAR vendors).
· Problem-solving and decision-making in field/lab environments.
· Documentation and metadata management according to ASPRS/LBS.
