Alliance Financial Services Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Branch Operations team in the capacity of:
Teller - AFSL
Take responsibility for the timely execution of foreign currency trade transactions.
Act as a vault custodian, monitoring and balancing cash holdings and preparation of cash shipment and cheques for deposit to bank.
Conduct KYC review and update client records.
Contribute to the client experience by providing professional and attentive service to clients.
Location: Kingston
As a Teller, you will:
- Deliver quality client service according to Sagicor Group’s Client Service Standards.
- Assume ownership of client issues at first point of contact.
- Ensure appropriate escalation to supervisor or relevant personnel/department
- Process foreign currency trade transactions.
- Perform custodial duties of Vault.
- Prepare excess cash for shipment to service provider.
- Process petty cash payments.
- Monitor and balance cash holdings.
- Handle the balancing and imaging of cheques for deposits and prepare bank deposits.
- Prepare counterfeit notes report for submission to Central Bank.
- Prepare Unusual Transaction Reports.
- Update and maintain client records.
- File worksheets and receipts.
- Perform any other job-related duties assigned.
What do you need?
- Minimum of a Diploma/Associate's Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration or related field from a recognized institution.
- At least one (1) years’ experience in operations and client service, working in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of teller functions/cash handling procedures & POCA regulations is a distinct advantage.
- Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Knowledge of client service principles.
- Professionalism in dealing with all stakeholders.
- Strong reasoning & mathematical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
