Job Title: Technology Delivery Manager

 

 

 

Primary objective of the job:

 

 

The Technology Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and managing technology projects throughout their entire lifecycle, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling. This role focuses on ensuring a successful delivery of technology projects, the successful delivery of technology projects, meeting key criteria such as timeliness, budget adherence, and adherence to defined scope and quality standards.

 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

Lead the strategic planning and execution of the Technology Projects, ensuring its design meets performance, quality, and budget requirements. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities, monitoring, and optimizing the deliverables, while implementing mitigation strategies to minimize projects disruptions. Additionally, the Technology Delivery Manager provides leadership and guidance to the technology team, fosters collaboration with cross-functional teams, and optimizes technology resources and costs to deliver high-quality technology services.

 

 

Technology Strategy

Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for Technology implementation regarding network infrastructure, incorporating advanced technologies and industry standards to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.

 

Technology Project Delivery

Lead the design of Technology projects, manage the portfolio of technology projects regarding network infrastructure, prioritize resources, and allocate budgets effectively. This involves assessing project feasibility, tracking progress, and aligning project outcomes with strategic business goals.

 

Reporting on projects

Implement strategies to deliver all projects within time, cost and scope

Resource Management: Efficiently managing and optimizing the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, budget, equipment, and technology tools, to achieve project objectives.

 

Quality and Risk Management

Identify and manage risks and issues that may impact project delivery and quality. Developing mitigation strategies, implementing contingency plans, and proactively addressing any challenges to minimize project disruptions.

 

Team Leadership and Collaboration

Coordinate and manage people, financial and equipment resources. Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering collaboration, and creating a positive work environment. Must possess superlative communication skills and be capable of communicating technical complexity in a way that is cognisant of the audience interests and ability. The holder of this role must also be capable of interacting at all levels of the organization from our contractors to the CEO.

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Technology, infrastructure development, Power Systems, Core, IP, Transport and Access networks, within the telecommunications industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of telecom technologies: fiber optics, LTE/5G, microwave, IP/MPLS, VoIP, etc.
  • Project Management Professional Certification would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with network architecture and infrastructure deployment (core, access, IP/Transport).
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in telecom.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Excel).
  • Proficiency in project reporting and customizing templates for communication of project items.
  • Understanding of budgeting, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Awareness of customer experience metrics and service level agreements (SLAs).

 

 

Functional Skills:

 

 

  • Understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Telecommunications.
  • Understanding software development, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, or telecommunication networks.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications concepts and technologies.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, report on and deliver network development projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in complex network environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Must be capable of actively driving projects and be innovative in achieving project objectives.
  • Be ambitious, driven and passionate about all things related to digital apps and music, with an excellent comprehension of how the industry works and the key world players
  • Have polished presentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Have an adaptive style in being able to often communicate technical ideas in simple terms
  • Strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once
