This position is primarily responsible for assisting with solving complex technical issues by performing intermediate level diagnostics

Monthly Salary: TT$Salary: $10,000.00 to TT$12,000.00 or equivalent GD (Negotiable)

 

The incumbent woks alongside the Service Manager and other skilled Technicians to ensure customer satisfaction whilst coaching and mentoring Junior Technicians and Trainees.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs intermediate-level diagnostics and repairs for all of the following: electrical and electronics, fuel & injection, steering & braking, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, (PLC) program logic controls and basic power train & control systems.
  • Assist Team Leader and Master Tech with planning of jobs and projects.
  • Maintains customer service contracts as required.
  • Works offsite on scheduled and emergency callouts.
  • Completes work orders within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Conducts research for the repairs of jobs including identifying parts required by part number.
  • Provides all information required for the preparation of quotations.
  • Prepares and submits service estimates and technical reports.
  • Completes dealership-sponsored training within the specified timeframe including all assigned online training.
  • Maintains updated knowledge of product and industry trends and methods.
  • Responds to Call-out duty 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
  • Guides trainees and conducts workshops on how to diagnose and conduct repairs
  • Coaches and mentors Junior Technicians on how to diagnose and conduct complex repairs
  • Demonstrates active adherence to all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, while also promoting HSE awareness.
  • Maintains housekeeping practices both during and after job completion.
  • Any other related responsibilities assigned by Management.

 

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Possesses an associate's degree in a related field of practice.
  • Completion of three to five (3-5) OEM classroom trainings
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in related fields of practice.
  • Ability to perform computer/software assisted repairs.

  • The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems over the phone.
  • The ability to troubleshoot electrical problems and conduct programming controls.
  • Operation monitoring of a machine
  • Experience with electrical diagnostics.
  • A systematic approach to troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and excellent customer service skills.
  • Performs work unsupervised and able to make decisions and judgement calls independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Team oriented.
  • The ability to coach and mentor junior technical staff
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment without supervision.
