Solar Buzz Jamaica is seeking to hire a motivated and dedicated Technical Services Specialist. This person will take all troubleshooting calls from existing clients and provide a timely solution. Solar Buzz believes in making Energy Freedom a reality for clients while preserving the environment. We are expanding our team of people with similar beliefs in reducing Jamaica’s dependence on fossil fuels.

The ideal candidate must be able to work well in a team environment, must be able to consistently meet deadlines, possess excellent communication, project management skills, technical report writing, and troubleshooting skills. The candidate must present good references that confirm the required skill set. 

Ideal Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Certificate/Diploma from an accredited college/university in Electrical Installation (Level 1, 2, 3)

• Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering.

• 2-3 years experience troubleshooting Sol-Ark, Deye, Schneider and Fronius solar systems.

• 2-3 years conducting site assessment for solar installation

• 2-3 years experience installing, programming, commissioning, monitoring and maintaining (residential and commercial) solar systems - grid tie, lithium and lead variants

• Proven experience with Sol-Ark, Deye, Fronius, and Schneider Electric/Conex solar products

• Experience with online solar PV system monitoring platforms - MySol-Ark, Insight, SolarWeb, etc.

• Knowledge of local solar regulations.

• Analytical and troubleshooting skills including configuration of systems based on site conditions and client’s needs and expectations

• Respond to incoming client issues, and communicate technical feedback to relevant internal teams

• Microsoft Office, Project Management and a valid driver's license are required

• Must be willing to travel islandwide

• Must possess a valid drivers license

• Licensed electrician a plus
