Team Lead-Reporting Assistant

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Contract

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide support to the Management Accounting Function of the Finance Department, to ensure accurate accounting and efficient reporting in line with the Company’s policies and procedures and management’s expectations.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assists in the preparation and detailed analysis of Annual Budgets and supporting schedules, including liaising with department heads to ensure timely and complete submission of budget information, in accordance with agreed deadlines.
  2. Prepare variance analysis reports to assist in the detailed review of monthly financial reports for management in decision making. Investigates and analyses sales and expense variances.

 

  1. Preparation, verification and distribution of a number of Key Performance Indicators reports to assist management with timely decision making.

 

  1. Preparation and verification of Daily / Weekly Sales and Statistics Report sales report

 

  1. Provides assistance in the reconciliation of specific general ledger accounts
  2. Assists in the review and verification of accounting journals including depreciation journals, hire purchase journals and other AR / AP journals

 

  1. Provides back up support to the AP function in the absence or unavailability of the AP Team Leader. This includes reviewing and approving invoices/batches/foreign payments, ensuring payments are processed timely and accurately and providing support to the AP team.

 

  1. Undertakes any other job related tasks requested by the Management Accountant/Financial Director/CEO

 

  1. Coaching and motivating Junior Associates.

 

  1. Maintenance of confidentiality.

 

  1. To adhere to all of Company’s Policies and Procedures including Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Policies.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Must be pursuing ACCA Level 3
  • At least five years work experience, three (3) years of which must be in the Accounting field
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and working knowledge of a computerized financial application
