To ensure all duties are completed accurately, timely and with the stipulated timelines of the company’s clients Service Level Agreements and in accordance with Guardsman Beryllium’s Deposit Processing Operational Procedures.

Team Leads are responsible for overseeing the daily processing, verification and transmittal of all deposits. In cases of discrepancies, the Team Leads must investigate, report to his/ her Supervisor and to the bank to ensure that all anomalies are rectified in a timely manner and within the standards of the organization. He/ she must oversee the preparation of the daily final balancing records at the end of the shift.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Collate foreign exchange, generate foreign exchange reports, then balance to manifest and write customer receipt in readiness for dispatch. 

  1. Generate the cash lodgement reports  

  1. Assist Floor Supervisor with the end of day balancing of the CPS Operators to ensure that all cash is paid over to the Central Treasury/ Main Vault. 

  1. Ensure that all reports and cash books are balanced, reconciled against MM2/CPS Reports and signed by the CPS Operators and Team Leads or Floor Supervisor. 

  1. Ensure that all cheques are processed and that any exceptions are escalated to the Floor Supervisor/Senior Supervisor, Operations.  

  1. Import cheques and balance manifest  

  1. Generate the required reports in accordance with the Commercial Banks (Transaction Listing; Exception, Cash Lodgement Report, etc.) and liaise with Floor Supervisor for reconciliation and sign off.  

  1. Prepare the lodgement slips & deposit books, package and write customer receipt in readiness for dispatch. 

  1. Package cheques and relevant reports for Commercial Banks.   

  1. Update relevant reports on shared drive for Management review

Experience & Qualifications:
  1. Must have a minimum of 5 CXC subjects including Mathematics and English Language and at least 4 years experience as Teller in  financial institution or 6 years experience as a cashier in another company. 

  1. Must have a Diploma in Business Administration and at least 2 years experience as a Teller in a financial institution or 3 years experience as a cashier in another company. 

  1. Must possess leadership qualities and be able to work flexible hours.  

  1. Proficient in the use MS Excel, Word and Outlook. 

  1. Fast and accurate keyboarding skills.
