TECHNICAL DRAWING TEACHER

FULL-TIME TECHNICAL DRAWING TEACHER TVT II / TEACHER TVT iV - TRINITY COLLEGE EAST

 ROLE AND CORE FUNCTIONS

The incumbent is required to teach Technical Drawing to Forms 4-5 students in accordance with the approved curriculum. Duties include monitoring the progress of students, effective classroom supervision and guidance to ensure the all-round development of students.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Teacher TVT II  - A Technician's Diploma in General drafting or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Teacher TVT IV- Applicant must satisfy the requirements for TVTII and possess a Technician Teacher Training Diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Education will be an asset.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Familiarity with the Technical Drawing Syllabus.
• A minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the respective form level is essential.
• Sound knowledge of the theory and application of the subject area. 
• Sound knowledge of evaluation and measurement techniques. 
• Sound knowledge of modern methods, principles and techniques of teaching.
  

 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Registered to teach by the Ministry of Education
• Assessed as a TVT II or TVT IV by The Ministry of Education.
• Must possess Computer Aided Design (CAD): Basic & Intermediate CAD Skills for 2D & 3D drawing

Core Areas of Study:

Geometrical Drawing: Plane and solid graphical geometrical concepts & constructions.

Mechanical Drawing: Mechanical drafting principles; concepts and skills in 2D and 3D

applications.

Building Drawing: Foundation and advanced skills to design complex architectural

representations to satisfy technical and aesthetic requirements.

Applied Mathematics: Mathematical and physics concepts applied to engineering and building applications/operations.
