The Supply Chain Project Manager (SCPM) determines the groups business improvement techniques, including the timely distribution of high-quality products and coordinating with suppliers and third-party vendors for inventories.

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Project Manager (SCPM) determines the groups business improvement techniques, including the timely distribution of high-quality products and coordinating with suppliers and third-party vendors for inventories. They also negotiate business contracts and address customers’ inquiries and concerns regarding the services of the organization.

The SCPM provides direction and leadership in lean manufacturing deployment from the Materials perspective: flow, line-side storage, JIT environment, Kanban and support plant-wide lean initiatives, warehouse and inventory optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support team and group Supply managers in the implementation and deployment of organizational initiatives.
  • Strong cross-business unit / functional IT communication, influencing and negotiation to drive project results.
  • Share project information with key stakeholders for decision making.
  • Ensures that business requirements are captured accurately and completely.
  • Ensuring project closure including completion of lessons learned and required documentation.
  • Develop, communicate and follow up on action items and deliverables to completion.
  • Develops project estimates, plans and approaches to manage end-to-end project execution.
  • Generate and track milestones, evaluating project issues and assisting with resolution.
  • Guide all supply chain initiatives across all levels, product changes, logistical changes, vendor changes, and more.
  • Transitioning from a local to a global supply chain
  • Improving lead times
  • Driving inventory process efficiency
  • Improving supplier efficiency
  • Rolling out new software and systems
  • Review and make recommendations on outsourcing tasks, such as assembly, manufacturing, business operations etc.
  • Assist with the Global supply Chain Procurement and Logistics objectives
  • Lead Group supply chain change management initiatives.
  • Establish a series of deliverables for actionable and targeted change management
  • Evaluation by stakeholders, impact assessment and action strategy for transition including coordination and preparation program
  • Apply a systematic approach and guide progress on change management
  • Identify, assess, and devise strategies for risk reduction
  • Identify and control foreseen opposition
  • Build actionable outcomes for the five levers of change management: engagement strategy, roadmap supporter, coaching plan, preparation plan, resistance control plan
  • Coach Management and Managers
  • Integrate implementation of transition events into project strategy
  • Lead stakeholders
  • Establish and calculate measures of performance, and track improvement

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Project Management or Business Administration
  • 5 or more years of experience in supply chain, project management, or planning as a functional user
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, D365, AX Dynamics.)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferable within a high-tech manufacturing, consumer goods or supply chain space.

Required Skills:

  •  Analytical, detail oriented, intuitive/initiative.
  • Broad supply chain experience, such as new product introduction, supply planning, demand management and forecasting, channel operations management and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to partner at senior levels to design and implement programs and solutions.
  • Knowledge of business systems and tech for managing supply chain.
  • Has led the implementation of new organizational processes aligned with ERP configuration.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus
