Supply Chain Lead

To direct the Supply Chain Management activities of Paria Fuel Trading Company Limited in accordance with relevant statutory requirements and industry best practices to ensure productive, cost-effective and high-quality services.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Lead, plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate all the Supply Chain Management activities of the business.
• Assumes the responsibility for the development and execution of the procurement plan which will encompass a global sourcing process utilizing strategies to ensure the delivery of productive and efficient procurement service to the business.  
• Ensure all supply chain activity is in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry best practice and company policies and procedures.
• Assume the roles and responsibilities of the procurement officer as outlined by the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act.
• Evaluate the supply chain activities, make, and implement recommendations to strategically enhance business performance.
• Develop and maintain strategic models for the business to evaluate business performance, commercial opportunities, and potential risks.
• Implement strategies to minimize business risk while increasing productivity, quality of service provided and reduce costs.
• Generate reports as may be required and present to Management Team, Committees and Board of Directors and address queries that may arise.
• Ensure that all third party contracts and contractors are managed through a robust contractor management system.
• Establish and maintain business alliances and associations with service providers, key stakeholders and represent the Company at requested forums/conferences.
• Advocate effective adoption of best practices for the cost-effective delivery of robust and relevant SCM services
• Maintain effective governance and internal controls in compliance with appropriate statutory and regulatory requirements
• Enforce compliance with HSEQ practices, rules and standards through pro-active HSEQ performance review and intervention.
• Develop strategic goals, objectives and key performance indicators for team members and utilize the Performance Management System to measure, manage, and motivate performance.
• Develop and implement staffing strategy and people development plans in consultation with HR.
• Develop trusting relationship with workers and address grievances that may arise.
• Undertake any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree-LLB/Management/ Business Administration / Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Graduate Diploma or equivalent

 AND

A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Supply Chain management with at least five (5) years at a supervisory level preferably in the Energy sector.
