Supervisor Regulatory Reporting (Contract)

The Supervisor, Regulatory Reporting oversees regulatory reporting for all JMMB TT entities, ensuring compliance with local legislation and guidelines. This helps mitigate the risk of penalties and fines.

Job Summary:
The Supervisor Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the regulatory reporting function of all JMMB TT entities by ensuring adherence to local regulatory reporting requirements guided by legislation and guidelines to mitigate against the risk of potential penalties and fines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinates and prepares all weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual regulatory returns for all the JMMB TT entities for accurate and timely submission to The local regulators including Central Bank, The Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange and the Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission.
• Oversees and reviews the annual reconciliation of audited financial statements for the entities regulated by the Central Bank to ensure accurate and timely submission.
• Supports the annual budgeting process by preparing accurate and timely projected capital adequacy calculations for submission to the Market Risk team.
• Manages the process for ensuring all regulatory filings are submitted within the stipulated deadlines to the various regulators and trustee and bondholders for all JMMB TT entities.
• Researches, identifies, and recommends opportunities for operational efficiencies and automation to improve the existing regulatory reporting processes.
• Takes the lead to ensure the proper assessment and timely implementation of new regulatory reports and reporting processes as required by the various regulators or as necessary based on changes to JMMB internal systems and procedures.
• Takes the lead on any regulatory audits originating from the regulators or internally through Internal Audit
• Manages the growth and development of the Regulatory Reporting Officers through coaching, guidance and performance management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education & Certification):

• A degree in Accounting/Economics/Finance or related field

Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a regulatory reporting team of a financial institution
• At least 2 years’ supervisory experience in a regulatory reporting team of a financial institution In depth knowledge and practical experience in local financial regulations

Other (Skills):

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
• Attention to detail
