Stock Checker (Part Time)

JOB SUMMARY

The Stock Checker collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the integrity and accuracy of physical inventory through rigorous auditing and compliance with standard operating procedures toward maintaining inventory control processes. This is a part-time role. 

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in stock counting of goods, products, assets, material etc. in assigned areas (Warehouses, Cold Storage, Trucks Vans, etc) as needed.
• Ensure all stock counting activities are documented and reconciled to maintain an inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Accounting Team on discrepancies identified in financial reconciliations, supporting appropriate adjustments, activities and disclosures for accounting accuracy.
• Support the Inventory Accounting Team during internal and external audits by supplying documentation, reconciliations, and inventory reports as needed.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs related to receiving, storage, product rotation (First Expiry, First Out), and dispatching, in collaboration with warehouse and distribution teams.
• Assist with routine inspections to ensuring compliance with storage practices and mitigate risks such as spoilage, damage, or shrinkage.
• Assist with identifying and addressing risks associated with inventory storage, including issues related to product expiration, handling, and temperature control. 

Position Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 O’ Level Passes including Mathematics and English A
• Minimum of 1 year of progressive inventory and stock management experience
• Accounting experience, or certification, would be considered an asset
