 Primary objectives of the job:

 

As Statutory Financial Reporting Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of external reporting and compliance for a number of market's, consolidated results and single entity financial statements within those markets. You will lead your team to standarise and streamline the reporting process, complete consolidations, and lead markets through successful external audits and local reporting compliance. You will proactively support business partners to identify and resolve reporting issues; implementing best practices to enhance the Group’s reporting process. Experience with external audits, consolidation, process improvement, ability to interact with leadership and key business stakeholders in a professional manner, together with strong Excel and data analysis skills is essential.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the preparation, review, and delivery of financial reports under IFRS, covering consolidated and single entity financial statements
  • Manage multiple regional external reporting and consolidation processes to comply with IFRS, local filing, and tax requirements
  • Ensure appropriate disclosures in external reports and embed data collection into the close process
  • Lead market/cluster audits where needed, ensuring timely completion and explaining any material adjustments
  • Interact with business partners to meet local tax and reporting obligations
  • Identify and implement enhancements of financial reporting, finance processes and tooling, including a standardized set of common reporting across the Group
  • Continually improve the service offering of the Group Financial Reporting team by actively providing input on accounting activities and how we can support the business partner and business processes
  • Analyze financial reports and general entries to understand operations and identify variances
  • Lead the dissolution and rationalization of surplus group companies
  • Strengthen internal documentation and support for processes and reported figures
  • Develop and implement new finance and/or accounting policies and procedures through continuous improvement efforts
  • Identify and recommend "best practices" within the Group's accounting function, driving adoption and participating in finance transformation projects
  • Deliver technical accounting papers, impact assessments and gap analyses to support market audits
  • Support compliance with accounting policies and control frameworks
  • Support period end close activities in accordance with agreed close schedules
  • Manage a team of up to 4 and define clear objectives for the team, that meet our SMART definition

 

Academic qualifications and experience required:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting, or any other related field
  • 2-3 years Post Qualified Experience
  • 2+ years’ supervisory / management experience 
  • ACA / ACCA
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting, reporting and consolidation
  • A true team player with a proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong sense of continuous process improvement
  • Prior audit experience desirable 
  • Prior experience in a multi-location accounting environment preferred

 

Functional skills and abilities:

 

  • Good oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all with leadership levels and stakeholders
  • Concrete knowledge of IFRS
  • Highly qualified team with specialized skills and knowledge
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and MS products, such as Excel and Word
  • Financial acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Power BI/Workday systems experience desirable
