Perform character background reference checks for internal and external individuals, investigate incidents at customer locations, file charges based on evidence, implements disciplinary awards, effect termination procedures and asset retrieval.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Investigate reports of incidents at clients location, allegations of inefficiency or neglect of duty against security officers, file charges based on evidence, initiate disciplinary procedures and ensure asset retrieval of terminated employees
  • Ensure that investigations are completed timely and is done objectively, thoroughly with sufficient dept of detail and creditability
  • Conduct internal and external character background reference checks and recommend appropriate actions
  • Ensures payments are effected to various clerks of the peace Nationwide on behalf of Employees either personally or through designated investigator
  • Perform duties according to HSE requirements and make recommendations to improve HSE conditions on Client locations
  • Visit & Evaluate security personnel at assigned customer locations and evaluate adherence to and relevance of standing orders.
  • Read assigned correspondence and provide appropriate responses relating to reported incidents within the Company or at customers’ location
  • Prepare and submit completed investigative reports with supporting statements.
  • Liaises with Managers, Customers or Customer Service Representatives as deem necessary to provide feedback subsequent of investigative findings with a view towards communicating approved recommendations towards service improvement
  • Manages all assigned resources – Human, Physical, Financial and Intellectual in a professional and structured manner
  • Draft and execute of legal documents where reasonable and probable grounds exist that an offense has been committed under the disciplinary standards of the Company
  • Submit all resource required for Disciplinary Tribunal hearings
  • Prepare general reports, statistical reports, documents and all data necessary for the Chief Investigating Officer and/or Coordinator
  • Review and assess risk factors where necessary in relation to incidents and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Initiates, assigns or conducts surveillance to establish activities being conducted by employees or other personnel as per contracted obligations
  • Uses available technology appropriately
  • Provides information to Management about Crime Trends both internal and external of the Organization for consideration to assist the Organization in the implementation of proactive counter measures
  • Provide recommendations to the awards committee for merit awards for employees
  • Enforce Company policies and procedures
  • Keep abreast of trends and recommend changes to improve the quality of service delivery and maintain continuous improvement

 Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Diploma in Security Management or a related discipline or
  • 8-10 years’ experience in the field of Investigations or Law Enforcement.
  • Basic HSE Knowledge
  • Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) ASIS International
