Security Officer

Monitoring the control of people and stock entering and leaving the compound with respect to security.

MAIN DUTIES

Monitoring the perimeter of the compound to ensure that unauthorized personnel are not allowed into the compound and that equipment/water supplies are secure.

Maintaining daily record logs of activities within and around the compound as well as persons entering and leaving the compound - including staff.

Checking sales/delivery trucks upon return and when being loaded to ensure accuracy of count.

Conducting spot-checks on persons leaving the compound for stolen items.

Recording and informing the relevant authorities of any illegal activities on the plant.

REQUIREMENTS:

Good communication skills (written and oral)

Possession of a secondary education

A background in security/property protection

Must be prepared to work a 12-hour day (7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am) for six days per week

Must be in possession of a Police Certificate of Good Character
