Spare Parts Supervisor, Standard Distributors Limited

Job Summary: The Spare Parts Supervisor assist the After Sales and Service Manager to plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the department’s responsibility for spare parts inventory. The Spare Parts Supervisor implements inventory management policies of the company are adhered to and always executed.

Job Description: 

• Ensure there is mandatory compliance with and execution of the systems and controls to ensure stock shrinkage are nil.
• Identify and lead any variance investigations and report in a timely fashion.
• Ensure that all movement of spares (transfers, receipts and issues) on NetSuite are updated, entered and tracked congruent with best practices as outlined in departmental SOP’s.
• Generate Purchase Requisitions for both new and re-ordered spares.
• Ensure that stock re-orders are immediately generated once inventory levels are at the re-order points to mitigate against stock-outs.
• Ensure that all departmental trackers are accurately updated, in a timely fashion.
• Lead all stock counts and ensure all stock is validated during quarterly counts.
• Ensure good housekeeping in stockrooms and warehouse:
  • All items properly labeled.
  • Sorted by category and Bin location.
  • Packed orderly to facilitate ease of retrieval and efficient stock counts.
• Provide required parts listing daily, for scheduled Job tickets.
• Immediately inform the After Sales and Service Manager when there are shortages, overages or damages concerning spare part shipments.
• Liaise with the IC Department to compile stock write off listings.
• Validate and ensure that all Service Technicians accurately reconcile the parts from their allocated Technician Bins within 24 hours of job completion as per stipulated timelines.
• Ensure that all unused parts are immediately and accurately returned into the inventory (in the correct Bin locations) following Service Technician Bin reconciliation.
• Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate health, safety, security and environmental and SDL’s policies and procedures.
• Comply with Group’s processes and policies as set out and stated in the ANSA McAL Blue Book.
• Perform other related duties as may be required by Management.

Education and Experience:

• Five (5) GCE/CXC Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
• At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• A Diploma in Warehousing / Inventory Management will be considered an asset.
