Job Overview

The Social Media Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and optimize strategies to engage target audiences, drive brand awareness, and achieve measurable business goals.

This role requires a balance of creativity, analytics, and a passion for storytelling to ensure consistent messaging across all digital touchpoints.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Strategy Development
    • Design and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the company’s overall marketing goals across various platforms.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and competitor activities.

 

  1. Content Creation & Management
    • Develop, curate, and schedule high-quality, engaging, and brand-appropriate content (images, videos, captions, etc.) for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others that resonates with the target audience.
    • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social media channels.
    • Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and other team members to produce visually appealing content.

 

  1. Community Management
    • Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers to build meaningful relationships and foster brand loyalty.
    • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.

 

  1. Performance Analytics & Reporting
    • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs), including engagement rates, reach, impressions, follower growth, and conversions.
    • Use insights to refine strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.

 

  1. Campaign Management
    • Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including budget allocation and ad optimization.
    • Conduct A/B testing to determine the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
    • Contribute to the development of integrated marketing campaigns.

 

  1. Trend Monitoring & Innovation
    • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies.
    • Propose innovative ideas to enhance brand presence and competitiveness.

 

  1. Collaboration
    • Work closely with the marketing team, sales team, and other departments to align social media efforts with broader business objectives.
    • Coordinate influencer partnerships and collaborations where applicable.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist, Social Media Manager, or similar role (minimum 2-3 years).
  • Strong knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), including their algorithms and best practices.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze data and create actionable reports using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and an eye for design and aesthetics.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with graphic design tools like Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles.
  • Basic video editing skills.
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing and affiliate partnerships.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
    • Having a vehicle will be an asset
