Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited is seeking a suitable candidate to join our Group Corporate Secretarial team in the capacity of:

 

 

 Sessional Clerk - Corporate Trust (Contract)

 

 

Provide efficient administrative support within Registrar & Corporate Trust Services Unit to accomplish the strategic and operational mandate of the unit.

 

Assist in the preparation of dividends, Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Extra-ordinary General Meetings (EGMs) as required.

 

Assist in the scanning, filing and archiving of files, cheques and other records as assigned to further support administrative duties within the unit.

 

 

Location: Kingston

 

As a Sessional Clerk - Corporate Trust, you will:

 

  • Package dividend cheques and paper notices for dividend related activities.
  • Assist with mail handling, internal distribution of correspondences, cheques and documents.
  • Provide logistical support for corporate communications mail outs (dividends and AGM &/or EGM related).
  • Perform data entry and routine administrative updates within internal systems and spreadsheets.
  • Create, label, file and maintain as per guidance from officer physical and electronic files for new and existing matters within required timelines.
  • Scan and upload documents to workflow management system ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Retrieve files, records and documents upon request and support purging and archiving of closed files in accordance with retention schedules and internal policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties assigned from time to time.

 

What do you need?

 

  • Diploma in Business Administration or a minimum of six (6) subjects at the CXC level, including English and Mathematics/Accounts.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in voluntary/ corporate / administrative environment (would be an asset).
  • Experience in the area of document management and ability to use various technological applications (would be an asset).
  • Sound knowledge of computer software packages including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Good research and communication (oral and writing) skills.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality relating to business of operations, client and employees.
  • Good time management, willingness to learn and organizational skills in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment with persons at all levels.
