To provide excellent customer service with respect to the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment supported by the Department of PBS Technologies.

JOB SUMMARY

PBS Technologies (Trinidad) Limited, is looking for a dynamic individual to accept the role of Service Technician III within our Services Department to operate out of our Central business location. The successful candidate will be required to provide excellent customer service with respect to the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment supported by the Department of PBS Technologies.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform technical support activities during the lifecycle of supported equipment, in accordance with vendor/PBS standards and regulations
  • Perform site assessments in accordance with prescribed evaluation criteria
  • Complete and maintain all relevant documentation relative to equipment installed, maintained or repaired
  • Conduct/assist in providing relevant technical customer training and/or equipment/solution demos where necessary
  • Provide technical support as per customer SLAs during daily, after-hour and weekend periods as rostered
  • Perform workshop related tasks as required
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of workshop
  • Communicate effectively and timely with internal and external stakeholders on the status of assigned activities and/or technical requests via agreed communication platforms
  • Author and submit required/requested technical reports, investigations and quality assurance reviews in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of technical information
  • Assist in the ordering of parts, materials, equipment and in maintaining acceptable levels of inventory
  • Complete pre-requisite vendor certification as required

 

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of certification/s preferably in Electronics
  • Certification in Electrical and Electronical Engineering (EEET)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a technical customer interface environment
  • Certification in any of the following will be an asset: A+ Certification, Network +
  • Experience in electromechanical and electronic service environment would be an asset
  • Computer proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good planning, organizing and time management skills
  • Ardent learner capable of learning new technologies
  • Must have a valid drivers’ licence and a working vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
