Media and Advertising Officer

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES:

• Develop, prepare, implement and submit monthly, weekly and daily media plans, media schedules and media booking orders to ensure Brand visibility in the targeted markets and achievement of targeted outcomes

• Receive, review and dispatch creative material to the relevant media houses and suppliers to ensure it is accurate and timely and delivered in a manner consistent with advertising/ media plan. This is to maximize the impact of advertising campaigns and ensure campaigns reach their targeted audience

• Receive, reconcile and cross reference all media invoices for all placed advertisements so that payments are accurate and timely

• Recommend media opportunities by monitoring, among other things, new media developments to ensure efficacy of advertising function

• Perform any other related duty assigned by your management line to ensure the proper operation of the department

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma/ Associate Degree in communication, journalism, general management or business and /or related fields
• Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in media planning, media management, advertising and /or related fields

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent strategic and creative skills with emphasis on business and brand focus thinking skills
• Ability to manage a media and production budget
