Senior Project Manager

The incumbent will provide technical leadership and strategic oversight across the Property portfolio, leading and managing all projects from concept to completion.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER   

The incumbent will provide technical leadership and strategic oversight across the Property portfolio, leading and managing all projects from concept to completion. The role supervises a multidisciplinary team, prepares business cases to support investment decisions and contributes to the planning of new development initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Project Planning & Initiation

• Leads the initiation phase of multiple projects, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and KPIs aligned with organizational priorities.
• Develops and documents comprehensive project charters, including resource plans, stakeholder analyses, risk assessments, and communication frameworks.
• Engages clients, architects, engineers, and key stakeholders to validate project requirements and define success criteria.

Project Execution & Oversight

• Drive the execution of approved project plans, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, and external partners.
• Establish and maintains project controls to track milestones, deliverables, cost performance, and resource utilization.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conducts routine site inspections to assess work quality, safety compliance, and alignment with project specifications.
• Prepare and manages detailed project schedules using MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent software.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Leads the Project Management Department, establishing strategic direction for project execution.
• Oversees resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization across project activities.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Negotiates contracts, change orders, and project terms to safeguard organizational interests and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage project budgets, including detailed cost estimates and financial projections.
• Prepare financial reports, inclusive of cost-to-complete analyses, variance reports, and cash flow assessments.

POSITION SPECIFICATION:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Plumbing Engineering; Construction Management; or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience in project management and leadership, with demonstrated expertise in MEP, HVAC, and building construction projects.
• Registered Engineer with the Professional Engineers Registration Board (PERB) and knowledge of industry best practices.
• Experience in commercial office or mixed-use developments is preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Highly reliable, team-oriented, and committed to service excellence.
