Job Overview

We are recruiting a Senior Network Administrator with the expertise to execute the comprehensive network management responsibilities detailed in our IT Operating Manual. This role involves but is not limited to overseeing multi-branch networks, cloud integrations, security protocols, and proactive improvements to support business continuity and data protection. Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee and optimize the organization's network infrastructure across all branches, including routers (e.g., CISCO ISA500, Netgate 2100+), switches, firewalls (Fortinet 100E), and WAN connections (Flow DIA, Digicel, HSC, Starlink), as per manual guidelines. i. Lead upgrades of critical nodes, WAN connections, and outdated hardware to reduce downtime and enhance security. ii. Configure and maintain VPN tunnels (IPSec, SSL) with automatic failover across primary and secondary ISPs.

2. Implement proactive network monitoring using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, PRTG, and SNMP traps; establish alerts for failures and anomalies. i. Perform daily/weekly KPI checks, generate incident reports with root cause analysis, resolutions, and timelines. ii. Conduct annual simulations of catastrophic events to validate redundancy and disaster recovery, including Hyper-V replication.

3. Ensure full compliance with cybersecurity standards (DPA, GDPR), including physical security (swipe access, alarms) and cyber measures (penetration testing, endpoint protection with Trend Micro). i. Collaborate with external firms for security assessments, audits, and staff training. ii. Audit and implement firewall policies, ACLs, DoS protection, and VPN enhancements (e.g., DH Group 14, IKEv2).

4. Maintain comprehensive IT documentation and knowledge transfer using Redmine (wikis, forums, issues) and Netbox for inventory. i. Update network mappings (draw.io), topologies, IPs, and procedures for all branches, including new ones like Santa Cruz. ii. Enforce policies for onboarding/off-boarding, asset management, archiving, remote work, change management, and shared drives.

5. Manage integrations with cloud platforms (AWS for MIBInsure Platform, Azure for FCIF, Data Factory, Microsoft 365) and on-premises systems (Epic, Vision, Freshdesk, Claims Vault, BI tools). i. Optimize for cost, security (e.g., S3 encryption, CloudTrail), and high availability (auto-scaling, snapshots). ii. Troubleshoot issues with camera systems, phone systems (PBX, gateways), Wi-Fi (Aruba), and employee devices.

6. Support employee device management (desktops, laptops, CUGs) with monitoring (Controlio) and upgrades (e.g., mini-PCs, protective cases). i. Oversee data backups (NAS, TAPE, S3, GitHub) and ensure platform rebuild documentation. ii. Provide training on IT policies and report on network performance and risks to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's preferred.

• 5+ years in network administration, with 2+ years in senior roles managing multi-site, hybrid infrastructures as described in the manual.

• Proven expertise in networking (Fortinet, CISCO, VLANs, SD-WAN), virtualization (Hyper-V), databases (MySQL), and cloud (AWS EC2/EBS, Azure).

• Strong knowledge of security protocols, monitoring tools, project management (Redmine), and compliance (DPA, GDPR).

• Certifications: CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+ (required); AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, CISSP (preferred).

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively.
