Senior Maintenance Supervisor
General Scope & Purpose:
To manage the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department effectively, which covers staffing, financials, electrical, plumbing, painting, air conditioning, pool maintenance, wastewater management and preventative maintenance.
The effective management of all related aspects to the Engineering Department throughout the hotel (guest rooms, public areas, and operational departments), inclusive of customer satisfaction, budgets (department’s operational expenses), inventories, health, safety, and hygiene.
JOB TASK:
Operations:
1. You are responsilble for the day to day operation of the Engineering Department
2. Coordinate all work and repair orders from various departments with particular attention to the serving of the equipment in the Laundry and Kitchens. Please maintain updated records.
3. Responsible for maintaining and improving quality of the guest amenties – plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting and furniture.
4. Ensure that a Preventative Maintenance Plan in place for all equipment
5. Maintenance proper records on all Out of Order Rooms.
6. Ensure swimming pumps are maintained at optimum, and pool water records are taken twice daily, and recorded.
7. Approve all Engineering Department pre-requesits to ensure all orders are in line with the department requirement and within it’s budgetted margins.
8. Maintain effective Cost Saving in all areas of your departments.
9. Must submit request to Assistant Manager, Hotel Accountant or General Manager for approval for all overtime before employee works shift.
10.Ensure a proper and accurate Tool and Equipment inventory is taken by the 1st of every month.
11. Conduct Health, Safety and Hygiene training every three months for all staff under your charge.
12. Conduct monthly training with employees and attend all training arranged by mangement of the hotel
13. Perform any other reasonable duties which may be requested by the, Hotel Accountant, Assistant Manager, General Manager or Directors of the company from time to time.
