Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on vehicle fleet, and off-road equipment in a safe, efficient, quality minded, internal and external customer focused manner. Perform maintenance and repair on aerial lift equipment to manufacturer’s guidelines and industry best practice in accordance with the safety and reliability standards.
Main Duties
Responsible for daily inspection and maintenance of the light and heavy fleet in safe and efficient cost effective manner
Maintain competency in both Air and Hydraulic systems.
Maintain and repair the Electric Vehicle Fleet.
Maintain and repair all motorized equipment and specialty tools.
Responsible to travel to all Territories to maintain and repair the fleet as required.
Responsible to assist and support in the implementation of Health and Safety and Environmental Practices including participation on scheduled safety meetings.
Address deficiencies and initiate corrective action for issues identified by the Line staff during the Daily-Weekly Heavy Fleet Inspections.
Complete annual equipment inspections and initiate corrective actions for identified deficiencies
Diagnose and repair problems with fleet as they arise.
Maintain Fleet Maintenance Records and Reports as required.
Ensure good housekeeping at and around the Vehicle Maintenance Facility.
Ensure that the Vehicle Maintenance Facility is secure at all times.
Required to participate in the Vehicle Service Center “On-Call” to provide emergency after hour and weekend response.
Assist with the procurement of parts and materials locally and internationally for all Motorized Fleet.
Liaise with subsidiaries mechanics to ensure best practice methods are current and up to date.
Required to work independently without immediate supervision.
Employee maybe requested by the immediate supervisor to work overtime to complete a required task.
Academic/Technical/Management: Experience and Qualifications:
Journeyman Mechanic qualifications
5 Years' Experience
Basic shop cutting & welding course
Level Four Certificate of completion of a hydraulic course or equivalent.
Post qualification experience in a vehicle service center environment.
Excellent team player and team building skills
Ability to deliver to strict deadlines and to work under pressure
Goal-oriented
Self-motivated with a proven safety record
