Senior Human Resource Officer.

We are seeking to fill the post of Senior Human Resource Officer.

The Human Resource Officer shall be responsible for the maintenance of human resource records and administration of relevant programs and policies. 

Core Functions:

  • Monitor day-to-day activities at assigned client locations to ensure alignment with service expectations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for operational challenges and escalate issue as necessary.
  • Conduct regular site visit to assess staffing adequacy, employee conduct, and workplace conditions.
  • Ensure proper shift coverage, coordinate relievers, and address urgent absenteeism or staff shortages.
  • Coordinate recruitment, on boarding, and staff deployment.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of HR documentation, including offer letters, disciplinary notices, and appraisals.
  • Administer leave requests, track absenteeism, and support timekeeping procedures for payroll accuracy.
  • Provide feedback to HR and management on employee performance, morale, and team dynamics.
  • Assist in resolving employee grievance and conflicts through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Monitor staff conduct and address breaches of policy of protocol with fairness and consistency.
  • Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and counseling for improvement where needed.
  • Ensure all team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and expected standards.
  • Administer staff benefit and welfare plans and programs
  • Monitor and maintain staff register thereby providing relevant information for payroll processing and leave entitlements
  • Co-ordinate staff training activities
  • Maintain personnel files

 Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Successfully completed an Associate’s Degree with at least a minor in Human Resources Management
  • Worked in a similar capacity for a minimum of three (3) years in an organization comprised of multiple locations within its network or functioned in a Supervisory Role
  • Possesses working knowledge of laws impacting employment
  • This individual must be a highly organized team player and possesses the ability to work with team members at varying levels within the organization
